Plain-English terms.

The agreement between you and Nova when you use the service. Written to be understood, not to hide behind.

1. The service

Nova is a personal intelligence layer that drafts suggestions ("cards") for things in your life and business, based on the context you give it. It is accessed via the web. It depends on third-party model providers; we route requests to whichever provider gives the best result for the task.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Nova. Nova handles financial admin and is not suitable for minors. You must provide accurate sign-up details and keep your sign-in credentials safe. One account per person.

3. Approval-first model — your responsibility

Nova drafts. You approve. Every card that would send a message, schedule a payment, contact a person, or change something in the real world waits for your explicit tap. You are responsible for what you approve. If you approve a draft that contains a mistake, the action is yours.

4. AI output disclaimer — not professional advice

Nova's drafts are generated by large language models and can be wrong. They are not financial, legal, tax, medical, or investment advice. Any savings, ROI, or value figures shown in the app or marketing are estimates, not guarantees. Verify anything important with a qualified professional before acting on it.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Nova is free to start. Paid plans (Personal, Plus, Business) are billed monthly in your local currency at the rate shown on the Pricing page when you subscribe. Taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) are added where applicable. Live checkout is processed by Paddle, our merchant of record; their buyer terms also apply to the transaction. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from /account; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

6. Refunds and cancellation

Monthly plans are non-refundable once a billing period starts; cancel before renewal to avoid the next charge. Cancel any time from inside the app in two taps — no calls, no emails. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.

7. Fair use

Plans assume normal personal or small-business use. Each plan has a published daily AI request allowance (see /pricing). Automated, scripted, scraping, or resale use of Nova's underlying AI behind your account is not permitted on consumer plans. We will contact you before suspending an account for fair-use breaches.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of the messages, documents, and memory you give to Nova. You grant us a limited, revocable licence to process that content solely to provide the service to you. We do not use it to train a model that we operate.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use Nova to break the law, infringe someone else's rights, harass individuals, generate sexual content involving minors, produce malware, or attempt to extract our prompts or model weights. Accounts that do are suspended without refund.

10. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance is announced inside the app where possible.

11. Termination

You may terminate at any time by deleting your account from /account. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms; in serious cases without notice. On termination your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Nova's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for losses arising from your decision to approve a draft.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Nova against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or content you provided that infringes a third party's rights.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law in your country of residence applies.

15. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app at least 30 days before they take effect.
