- Nova does not read attachment files out of forwarded email yet. When an email mentions an attachment, Nova flags it and asks you to add the amount or snap the document — it won't invent the number.
- Handwriting and heavily stylised layouts reduce accuracy. Every extracted figure is shown with its confidence so you can correct it before approving.
- Nova reads documents; it doesn't store a filing cabinet or replace your accounting records.
Questions people actually ask.
- Does Nova read PDFs attached to forwarded emails?
- Not yet. Today it detects when an email mentions an attachment and asks you for the missing facts, or you snap the document directly. We'd rather say that plainly than pretend.
- What does Snap a document extract?
- Vendor, amount, due date and reference where they're present, each with a confidence indicator and the source document shown on the card.
- What if it reads a number wrong?
- You edit the card before approving. Low-confidence extractions are labelled, and your correction is what gets saved.
- Can I use it from my phone camera?
- Yes — Snap a document is built for a phone photo of a paper or on-screen invoice.
